WHY SOUTH AFRICA?
ABANDONMENT
SA Cares for Life has a "bin" where mothers can place their babies any time night or day, and SA Cares for Life, will take care of them. The moment a baby is placed in the bin, an alarm will alert us of the baby. The baby is taken in and we protect the anonymity of the mother. Babies also come to us by means of the police, social workers, community members, hospitals and clinics. News has spread and mothers will also now bring the babies willingly.
